Studio West Video was amazing at my sister's wedding! He captured all of the special moments of the day, but we never even knew he was there. And he was really affordable as well! The website is http://studiowestvideo.wordpress.com/ if you'd like to check it out. I just went to it and he is having a huge sale if you book him before the 15th for Valentine's day with a package that is $950 and really includes a lot of stuff.
Hope this helps! : )
We are using Raw Fiction Pictures. They are based in SoCal. They have been super nice and easy to work with and are very affordable. I was very impressed with their sample work. They offered a short video and a long video or both, and all in HD. Plus they will give you the raw footage. www.vimeo.com/rawfictionpictures
@SunnySquirrel: Curious to hear what your experience with Raw Fiction Pictures is thus far. If I may ask... what is your video budget and how many hours of coverage are they providing? I have come across them but have only seen one wedding video. Wanted a little more info before contacting them. :) Thank you!!
I'm having the hardest time finding a videographer too especially when I have a $3K budget. If you like having some audio incorporated in your video, I think Cloud 9 is pretty good. Ryan Geldermann wedding cinematography is a good one, but he was booked on my wedding date. Evanrobertscott.com is another one I liked, but my fiance didnt like it. Now I'm looking into Windproductions.com
Hope this helps! Let me know if you found a good one. I'm willing to stretch my budget to $4,500!
If you're interested in someone who's still breaking into the business, check out my FI's good friend's site - he's filming our engagement video and wedding:
He'll be a LOT, LOT cheaper than your budgets mentioned above!
These people are amazing. We can't afford fancy videography/cinematography...but I literally drooled over my screen after checking out these SoCal-based people: http://aquavivus.com/
I would HIGHLY recommend them, amazing videos! They nearly look like movies.
This company did a wedding video for someone I knew in college, and we would consider them but we aren't able to. His work is simply stunning and so touching!!! They charge under $2,000.
They are just a bit over your budget, but I highly recommend FortyOneTwenty. They do full day coverage and you get three videographers. Their work is amazing, especially if you prefer the artistic cinematographic style. You can see their highlight reels here:
@Ms. Vanilla Bean: They offered three different packages starting at $700 and topping out at $1400. We were looking for videography about $1000, everything we found in our area and price range was not great....until we saw the video from Raw Fiction. The response from my family was "book them right away". They are two film students who will be graduating this spring and are just getting their business started, but look to be off to a great start. They have been curteous and professional, and I can't wait to see what they put together for us. My sister's friend also booked them for their wedding later this summer.

Hi all. I"m having the hardest time finding a video person. I would prefer high def video but wnat someone that incoporate artistic elements and also incorporates audio from through the night on top of soft playing video in parts of the video. any recommendations of good videographres in the LA area? I would be happy with a 20 minute video.
