Hi everyone, I’m looking for a caterer for our barbeque reception next year. I’m a vegetarian and my SO is not. So I’m looking for a caterer who can cater to both of our wishes and understands how important it is to me that the vegetarian food not be in contact with meat, fish, or poultry.

Is there a local restaurant you like? Most places like that offer catering. Also check the vendor reviews section at Projectwedding.com for ideas.

That website was very useful. I’ve made a list of a couple of places to call. I’m wondering how flexible caterers are with their menus…I’m not content with any of the sample menus as they are, but I realize that they are samples.

Most caterers are more than happy to create a custom menu, and will say so on their websites. If someone is not willing to budge, then look elsewhere.

I used to work for “The Catered Affair”. They’re based out of Hingham (or Norwell?) I think – but we would often do Cape affairs. They’re amazing – I would work at everything from galas at the Boston Public Library to 1-year-old birthday parties in Truro. They’ll do anything and travel anywhere. Good luck!!!
