What is your definition of “reasonably priced”. Also, are you looking for on-site services or salon services?

That’s the going rate, unfortunately.  Have you checked out Thumbtack though?  It’s a website where you can put out an add for vendors.  I found my florist on there and got some quotes from MUAs.  You may have luck finding an MUA/stylist on there.  I ended up going to a salon for hair and DIY-ing makeup to save $$, but most of the quotes I recevied on Thumbtack were slightly cheaper than the MUAs I contacted through bridal shows or referrals.

I used Amie Decker Beauty.  The trial was held up in Maryland, but they came on-site the day of the wedding.  They did an amazing job, but were a bit higher than you’re looking for.  I think it ended up around $150 for BMs for hair and makeup.

@blinko2013:  Per BM, but hair and makeup total.  I think it was like $70 for makeup and $80 for updos?  It was a white ago so I’m not positive, but it wasn’t much more than that.  I tried really hard to find an affordable, decent option, and this was the best of both worlds.  Affordable and DC don’t go together well, as I’m sure you’ve found out.

@blinko2013:  I just pulled up my contracts:

Makeup – $350 minimum

$150 Bridal Make-up Application
$70 Per Additional Application
$100 Travel Fee (If Applicable)

Hair -$350 minimum

$200 Bridal Hair Style Package
$70 Blow Out / Style
$85 Each Additional Up Style
$50 Additional Blow Out
$100 Travel Fee (If Applicable)
$45 Girls 12 and under, Up Style, not including blow dry

The bridal package includes the trial on both, so it’s pricier for you, but less expensive on the tohers.

@blinko2013:  I loved them.  You can pick your stylists there (I used JoAnna and Kelley) and work with them directly.  They worked really, really well together and were really fun!  My wedding was last March, so prices shouldn’t have changed tooooo dramatically!
