Pink Posh Photography - www.pinkposh.com. They're our photographers and I completely LOVE their work. This was the first and easiest decision that my FI and I made for our wedding.

You may want to look into Studio 563 (they have photographers dedicated to either Austin or Houston). If I had found them before my wedding I think I would have switched.
You may also want to look into bend the light (san antonio based). The boudoir photographer I am going to work with in Houston recently blogged that she likes them and would recommend them.
If I think of any more I'll be sure to share. Have you considered asking your hair/makeup artist? Or even your bridal salon? They usually can give some great suggestions since they are all in generally the same industry.
Lisa Shepard with Aimage photography is doing our engagement pictures, bridals, and wedding pictures. I fell in love with her style of "romantic photo-journalism" and liked that her pictures seemed timeless. I'll be honest, I was a little nervous at first about how our personalities would get along b/c she's very laid back and I am very Type-A. However, after our engagement shoot and getting to know her a little better, I absolutely love her. (It helped that our pictures turned out great!)
I also talked to Lisa with Now and Then Photography. I really liked her pictures, and she was very sweet and would be incredibly easy to work with. At the end of the day though, her style of photography just didn't seem to be quite what we were looking for.
Jennifer Nichols is amazing. I would have used her if I'd found her before I booked my photog (who is based out of San Antonio).
I am getting married in Austin in June, but so far I LOVE my photographer, Michelle Loconto michelleloconto.com . In addition to wonderful pictures, she is very friendly, easy to get in touch with, and has even helped me find a reception venue. I don't think she advertises in any of the bridal magazines or websites, and actually I think I found her through someone elses recommendation here. Good luck!
I'm using Jennifer Nichols and her husband CJ--so excited! Also, Anne Marie photography out of San Antonio is great. They do a ton of Austin weddings and are super sweet.

Like IndieB, I am using the Nichols! I also looked at Anne Marie photography as well, but they were booked on our date. Both work in a team of two so you get a lot of coverage on your big day! I am VERY happy with the Nichols--engagement pics will be posted on the blog soon! :)
I used Barker Photography for our e-pics and loved them, however if I could afford them I would go with Pink Posh.

My photog is Ashley at Studio 563 (www.studio563.com/ashley). We've only taken E-pics so far and I love them. I'm so glad I decided to go with her.
I used Stacy Cross and her photos seriously blew me away. We got married outside at night, and ALL of the guest photos are terrible because of the lighting, but Stacy's are beautiful. I'm someone who usually thinks everyone else's pics look great, but hate my own, but I have to say, I can't get over how incredible my photos are. Also, DH is possibly the worst picture taker in the world, and he looks great in ever photo. She's also super nice, not intrusive -- just a doll all around. CANNOT recommend Stacy highly enough!!!!
I have two recommendations for you...like another message said, Pink Posh Photography is phenomenal...can't say enough good things about their work.
Our photographer is Christina Carroll with Christina Carroll Photography, and she is absolutely wonderful to work with and a GREAT photographer to boot.

I'm looking for an Austin photographer as well, and two of my favorites are Rebel with a Camera, the Nichols and Jason Speros. They are over a wide price range, but I think they're all fantastic
We're using Cho Photography, www.photographybycho.com, and we loved our engagement pictures. I don't think you can find anyone better for the price. We can't wait to see how the wedding pictures turn out.
