Alfred Sung is pretty affordable. I’m in the thick of bridesmaid dress shopping myself right now!

http://dressfinder.com has links to every dress designer’s website so you can browse for hours to see what you like. Be aware that what looks good on a model will look entirely different on a real person, especially since the models are airbrushed and do not have “real” proportions. Also, be aware that you need to get fabric swatches from a local bridal salon that carries the lines you are interested in, since you can’t tell with any amount of accuracy online what the colors look like in person.

Make sure that you have several options to choose from, and that your bridesmaids try them on in person before you decide. Even with different people having various sizes, what looks good on one bridesmaid could look very unflattering on someone else in your group, which is also why it is not true at all that there is any one single dress design or cut that fits everyone, regardless of shape or size, contrary to what many will tell you.

I am getting Dessy/ After Six Collection. I also had problems finding a shade/color I liked. They had a lavender I liked.

If you really don’t mind helping with the cost (that’s what I’m doing), I absolutely looooove Priscilla of Boston bridesmaid dresses.  Beautiful designs and fabrics in a lot of colors.  The only frustrating thing is that colors offered change seasonally, so if you want your ladies to pick out their own dresses amongst the many offerings in that color, it might be limitded.  Usually they have a good number of offerings in every dress, though. They do currently offer cobalt, and the images aren’t ridiculously airbrushed like many other websites’–they’re runway pics.  You can actually see the dresses in action going down the runway from the most recent collection.

I am from Western MA area and the most popular Bridesmaid or Best Man designers are… Bill Levkoff, Impressions, & Jasmine. They are all very stylist and elegant. They seem to have a dress for every theme and occasion. I hope this helps! Happy Planning! 🙂

I got my dresses from Aria and love them!

Lots of styles and fabrics to choose from, plus they are made in the USA!
