Hi!

I'm looking for a marriage commisioner in Vancouver... I've looked at the BC Vital Stats website and found a list of 28 marriage commisioners... I've contacted one so far (referral from a coworker, but she is moving away from Vancouver) so I'm back to the drawing board.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I need a few names to start off with (so I don't have to email everyone and interview everyone)

sorry I can't help you, but I am definately interested too! I dont have a church where I am getting married, so I dont know a minister or anything, and I would hate to just pick someone out of a phone book. Any personal suggestions?

Hey gals,

I actually went by the recommendation of some ladies on the weddingbells - west coast forum. We're using Bob Buzza from New Westminster (since we're getting married on Burbaby Mtn he's fairly close by). There were recommedations for other officiants there too.

Bob sounded amazing over the phone, and actually meets with the bride and groom beforehand to discuss the ceremony and do a bit of a mock run through. He also encouraged us to create a ceremony that is unique to us, and said I could email or call him whenever I have any questions.

Diane Brown was our marriage commisioner and she was fantastic. Very organized and professional, quick to respond to e-mails, and helpful with sorting out ceremony details. A very nice lady all around.
