We are going with American Entertainment - DJ's name is Scott. He was very professional during the consultation and we really liked that you can build a playlist or at least label the DO NOT PLAY list all online.
He also promised no-cheese; beware of DJs that dance on speakers, it seems Cleveland has many of them.
Good Luck
Depending on budget I would say check out Troy Entertainment (who we're using) and TKO (a little more expensive). Both were highly recommended by our venue.
We're using Selective Sound. I think we're paying $1300. Jay R is really nice and promises no cheese. He was the first and only DJ we interviewed and we liked him so much that we decided we had to have him!
I know it might be a little late, but we went with Big Ear Entertainment (http://www.bigearohio.com/) out of Akron for our wedding in Huron. Jason was our DJ and we got them for 5 hours for $700. Jason has an AWESOME voice for the job and played music that literally had people on the dance floor from the first song all the way to the end of the night; this is not a hyperbole...there really was dancing the whole night! He was calm, professional, and accommodating of all of our needs. Definitely a company worth looking into. I believe they also might be getting into photobooths, too - which, is an awesome addition to your wedding (we didn't go with them, as they just started the service after we had made the decision to go with another company, but you should check into this with them - it was a blast!).
We are using Sound Stage Entertainment (http://www.soundstageentertainment.com/id1.htm). They were the cheapest ($500 for the entire night, no matter how long we go), and his sales pitch was the best. My wedding isn't too far off; I will let you know if it was just a good pitch or not :)

Hello to all the lovely Cleveland brides out there!
So we are at the point where we are looking to book our DJ for our October 2010 wedding. Music is HUGELY important to us, and we come from a very musically inclined group of friends. We were toying with the idea of having a band, but couldn't imagine not hearing wedding faves such as MJ's Thriller and Meatloaf's Paradise by the Dashboard Light, so in the end we decided to go with a DJ.
I have been to two weddings lately that had really not-so-great DJ's. Now I know it's all a matter of personal preference, but I really am not interested in hearing the Macarena and YMCA or being blasted with rap during dinner hour at my wedding. We want a nice mix of tunes that will get people dancing and classic songs that the older crowd can enjoy as well.
So any suggestions of great DJ's that have a wide range of music and NO CHEESINESS would be greatly appreciated! Also words of warning of DJ's that you did not care for would be much appreciated as well.
Thanks all
