I got married in Athens, which is a little outside of Atlanta, but I think most vendors can work in both areas. I loved my coordinator, florist and caterer!
Florist: Gardenia Floral
Caterer: Hallie Janes
Coordinator: Mary with Consultants Unlimited
Let me know if you need any more info on any of them! Good Luck :)
I've worked with Lindsay of detail. before, for event coordination. She's based near Athens, but I've only seen her in Atlanta. She really is into the details!
There are several great planners and caterers on the south side of Atlanta that are considerably less and just as good if not better than most in Atlanta.
Check out Contemporary Catering and Making Memories Catering
Planners check out Cameo Event and Magical Memories
Florists - AMAZING work from Virtu, Ltd in Newnan. Seriously worth every cent and amazing floral designs
Check out the World Trade Center Atlanta. We had our ceremony and reception there. We had such good service, we even had them cater! I seriously recommend them.
I've had food from sun in my belly caterers and it was great! I have a friend (her son's on my son's baseball team) and she's a floral designer and also does free lance..does stuff with "Events by Dezine" and other floral co's. She's awesome. I will use her (I'm supposed to get her number this week..we just met last week when the season began and then we began to talk flowers and business and such). When she does her own work, it's of course, less expensive! She's awesome..turned me onto a new rose infact!
Awesome hair salon is Carter-Barnes and they can refer makeup too or I know somebody who can do both..she's awesome at hair and makeup and is a model.
I love the wineries in Dahlonega, and one of my coworkers is getting married at the Corley House in May. Lovely venue there..outdoor ceremony/indoor reception. They do almost all of it..but you can get your own florist/photog and baker..they said their food was great!
My friend is using Celso's cakes..that and baker's man bakery here are supposed to be great bakers/cake designers...I also have had cupcaked from chocolate pink and they were gooood!

Sorry, there are no users yet.
Phew! Sorry for the combo request, but we're planning the wedding from afar, so we have to combine as many consults as we can in our limited number of trips down South. The next trip is in Nov. (and will probably be the last one for a while) so I'd love to get some names and start researching so I can set up some appointments. Any vendors you loved working with? (Or hated working with? Suggestions of people to stay away from are helpful, too!)
TIA!!
