Hi, fireflygirl, and welcome to the Tahoe board. Edgewood is so gorgeous; what a great venue pick! I'm not positive, but I think Edgewood actually has on-site DOCs. You might want to check on this, but I seem to remember that they have an event coordinator available for the day of the wedding.
I can't give you any planner/coordinator recs since I didn't use one, but if you find someone you like you can always post here first. It's a pretty small town, and I know some people who are in the wedding biz personally. Good luck, and keep us posted on your planning with Edgewood!
We talked with Amy from Sierra weddings. They do DOC (we didn't actually use them as it was out of our price range) but for $100 they will go through their vendor list with you, which was totally worth it. It meant that we had vendors that we could totally trust to do a great job.
I agree with Mrs. Spring that Edgewood probably has site coordinators, but I would double check that they will do everything that you need. For example, we found out the day before the wedding that Sunnyside's staff will set up the tables, but won't decorate them. Our tables were simple, so this just meant that a good friend added all the nametags to the tables 1/2 hr before the wedding...but that would have been a bigger problem if we had more complicated settings. Basically, just make sure that they will do everything that you ask of them and you should be good. I've heard great things about Edgewood, so i'm sure it won't be a problem.

As for DOC, FSIL has done a number of events so we are calling on her expertise to help things go smoothly. Hopefully things will be well in hand by the time the day rolls around and so there won't be too much to worry about. Ha Ha! I crack myself up!

Hello!
I think I'm narrowing my search on a venue on South Lake Tahoe -- Edgewood -- and am wondering if anyone has any past experience with any local coordinators? While I would love to do everything myself and with the help of family & friends, I am *thinking* at least a day-of-coordinator will be needed. Please post any recommendations if you have them!
