I’ve been agonizing over the linens. Didn’t really budget for them because I thought it would be a waste, but now as the day approaches, I’ve decided I want them – and not plastic. A friend has 10 perfect rectangular tablecloths for our venue’s round tables that I can use FOR FREE. Is there a way that I can make this work without it looking tacky? I’m on a BUDGET!! 🙂 TIA

I think the only way it would work is if you were able to somehow discreetly pin the tablecloths so they’re more of a square shape. Is there any way you can do a trial run at the venue, or find a larger circular table to try it out?

Honestly… I don’t think that’s what people are going to notice. Go for the budget-smart choice.
Where is that thread about the T word? *looks around*

Does the venue already have white tablecloths and these square ones are colored? If that is the case, I think it will look really good. Just like an overlay. If there are no tablecloths underneath, it might look a little funny (just because I like tablecloths to go all the way to the floor), but I doubt anyone will notice.

I think it would depend on how big the tables are and how big the tablecloths are. I mean, wouldn’t the tablecloths hang long on two sides and leave two sides too short? I could see it working if you laid two tablecloths across each other, like a plus sign, so that all sides are covered.
