Would you put a small recycling symbol at the bottom right corner of your wedding invites (backside), postcard RSVP/STD (backside as well)? We aren’t having a green wedding theme or anything, but our stationary is on recycled paper and just wanted to continue to help spread the word on the importance of being Eco-friendly when possible:).
Thanks for your opinions in advance!

@bonbonsparklesMD: I honestly think most adults have already made up their own mind about recycling. I don’t think it is tacky, just likely unnecessary.
People who are going to recycle already know that all paper can be recycled. Those who don’t recycle, don’t care and they are not going to turn the invitation over to see the symbol on the back.
If you want to do it, go ahead. I don’t think it will make a difference, one way or another.

Why no include it? There is no way to construe it as tacky.
As for people having made up their mind, that’s true, but some of us who believe in recycling still get lazy and do what’s easy, and a little reminder can be the prompt we need to make ourselved live up to our own expectations.

@bonbonsparklesMD: I wouldn’t think anything of it. If you really want to, then go for it!

I don’t think this is tacky at all. I try to recycle whatever I can, but I’m pretty new to it as our neighborhood didn’t do recycling. SO and I are always checking every inch of boxes or containers to see if they are recyclable, and seeing that symbol on the back would definitely remind us as we would usually throw something like that in the trash!

I’ll be honest, I don’t think I’d even think to look on the back of an invitation for anything like that. So while I don’t think it’s tacky, I don’t think anyone will notice it, and if someone does recycle, they will anyway. If they don’t, they won’t all of a sudden change their mind because they saw a recycle symbol.

Why? Do you include that on all your correspondence? How about giftwrap?
