There’s a TV awards ceremony in Australia called the “Logies”. Although it doesn’t really compete with the Golden Globes, Oscars or the Emmys I thought you ladies might appreciate some dress porn and possible dress inspiration from some awesome Australian designers.
Another steven khalil
Yet another Steven Khalil
Another Paolo Sebastian
That’s only a handful of the dresses but I hope you all enjoyed that 🙂

@bellasmum: I love Steven Khalil, if I still lived in Australia I would have gone to him for my wedding gown. I do think his bridal work is better than his red carpet pieces though. This was posted on his Facebook account earlier today, SO stunning:

@peonyinparis: soooo pretty, like an ethereal ballerina

And I think that goes for some the others, as well. Although these red carpet looks are pretty (esp. that J’Aton), they don’t compare to their bridal counterparts, IMO:
Khalil (a Pinterest favorite)
J’Aton (I know the first dress is divisive, but it awes me every time)

@MlleFabuleux: i have 3 if those dresses in my “fav dress” folder! U have fantastic taste 😉
I agree their bridal collections are more swoon worthy but being a new bee i thought they would have been posted tonnes of times already.
Let’s dig up more!!!

Speaking of Aussie couturiers, my favourite has got to be Toni Maticevski. I have a few pieces from him that I absolutely treasure. His couture/bridal pieces have this real decaying decadence feel to them that I love.

@peonyinparis: Nice. And definitely not for the faint of heart! I’m a fan of the deconstructed look from a more artistic appraisal sense. His style reminds me of McQueen’s notorious Primitivism gown (aka. the Shipwreck dress).
Another ~bridal~ haute couterier that I simply adore is Richard de Chazal. This entire wedding definitely raised the bar for me in general, it’s so OTT grande and immensely marvelous, all at the same time (particularly with that masterful jewelled capelet)!
