I wouldn’t give up, I think it is a beautiful look. I have a friend that uses DOLLAR STORE whitening stuff and she has like the whitest teeth I have ever seen, worth a try I think =) I don’t think pale skin is bad with red lips my self, I think it is actually quite pretty ( I have darker skin and don’t like it a whole lot)

Red lips are great–pick one with a slightly bluish undertone. I like Clinique Apple Brandy. It’s a nice soft reddish color. I know it looks purple in this picture, though: http://www.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=174146&PartnerID=CEW&BannerID=x134

Also I have used Ulta’s Wine lip pencil and filled in my lips with that. It’s a nice rich red. Looks good on my skin tone. Definitely go to a counter and let them try out a TON of colors on you. There’s one that’ll work.

Im pale too and love having bold red lips. I use Crest White Strips and they work wonders. Its a running joke between my friends that I have insanely white teeth despite being a coffee addict and having been a smoker for a number of years. I use Covergirl Outlast lipcolor and it doesnt go ANYWHERE. I seriously wore it in the shower, went to bed, woke up and was still wearing it the next morning.

Also, in my experience Coral lip colors tend to make teeth look yellower (or is that just me?!?) so thats a shade I would avoid

@SweetRose2011: Hey , i LOVE red lips on fair skin– it is extremely romantic 🙂 I myself have very fair skin, and very dark hair and have been told a million times to wear red lips and curls.

It is not expensive to get some whitener, the drug store stuff works ! ( I myself love coffee lol)

and you just have to find the right shade of red– a beauty consultant should be help in this department. I tried 8 diff. shades before I found mine. It has something to do with the undertones of the lipstick matching the undertones of your skin color. You are correct some shades of red would be way too dark or clownish– You just have to find the right shade for you, you would be suprised at how many shades of red that are made lol.
