I much prefer the red on ivory.  I think it’s much easier to read (I think it’s hard to read white/ivory lettering on dark colors) plus I think it just looks classier!

you lost me on the gold part, but based off the pix i voted ivory lettering on red background. Its actually easier for me to read that way and it has more pizzazz to it

I was an ivory & red wedding.  I printed the red on ivory… I thought it stood out better.  But both look good to me!

Normally, reversed out typography is more difficult to read.  However, in this case, with the ivory and red, I actually think that not only is it easier to read the reverse type with the ivory text on the red background but also that design has a much greater impact.

@deetroitwhat:  I’m guessing that the OP either misspelled Jacqueline Bouvier or simply wanted to put her own twist on the former first lady’s name. 🙂

I thought I wouldn’t like it based on the description, but I actually prefer the ivory on red background. It looks really sharp and is much more outstanding than the other way around.

I REALLY like the ivory on the red. We did Royal Blue with white writing and got a TON of compliments on our invites 🙂

@grapeslice:  I didn’t hear of any issues with mine, doesn’t mean much though. We did our RSVP’s on White with blue writing so when people wrote on them it would be legible.
