Sorry, I would not wear a red dress to any type of event that is taking place in a church, but these days a lot of people wear jeans to church, so if you feel comfortable wearing it then go ahead. Personally, I think this dress is also a little to form fitting to be wearing to any type of church event too.
Some people say not to wear red to weddings but I find those "rules" a bit excessive and unnecessary. It looks like a pretty and classy dress. I would wear it.

I think it's perfect. I guess I have never heard the "no red to church" rule.
gorgeous! I love it and think it's totally appropriate for a wedding. Just dress it up with sparkly jewelry and fun shoes.
I would personally wear another color. Went to a wedding and someone wore red and the dress made her look like she was on her way to a club. Red always says "Notice Me", which I'm not against but its the bride's day.
@msdolooney: I think that if the wedding wasn't in a church, imo, you could get away with wearing it. I would just feel uncomfortable wearing a red form fitted dress in a church. I have also never heard of the "no red in church rule". It is just my rule.
@noritake22: Gotcha, I was just making sure that there wasn't some rule I hadn't heard yet!
It isn't that exact dress so not quite so low cut - i'd wear a wrap in church anyway and a camisole underneath if necessary. BUT thanks girls, think i'll save it for the next non-church wedding. Great excuse to go shopping;)
