i ordered mine from sams club – we are doing all roses too.

my wedding is in 9 days – when they come in i can show you some pictures so you can see how they turned out. they should be here next thrusday and we are doing bouquets on friday.

my FSIL ordered from growersbox.com and they turned out beautifully – her wedding was August 14th in South Carolina- hottest weekend EVER! well at least hottest weekend of the summer by far. they were fine. we just kept them in a dark air conditioned room.

here is a pic of hers BM bouquets

i guess i should add – i was told to cut them as soon as they arrive and place them in water in an air conditioned space. i would keep them in the AC until they are ready to be used. i was told to have them delivered 2-3 days prior to the wedding so they have time to open up.

@totheislnds: Did  your FSIL get all the fillers too?

Do you have an estimated cost for your bouquets?

I’ve heard great things about 50flowers.com – I think they also have information on their website about storing/cutting/arranging the flowers.

@tranquility: she bought the fillers from them as well (growersbox.com) – im not doing fillers for mine just red roses.

since we arent having floral centerpieces (we are using black candelabras) i only needed my bouquet 8 bouts and 5 bridesmaids bouquets.

i bought 125 red roses for 158.00 from sams club. that included shipping 🙂

I’ve ordered from both Global Rose and Sam’s clubs for flowers and was extremely pleased with both places.  I highly recommend either or both of them.

I ordered some flowers from Sam’s Club and some from FiftyFlowers.com, and all were gorgeous. Sam’s is definitely cheaper, but doesn’t have the same selection.

I received mine on Wednesday morning and we made the bouquets on Thursday night; the ceremony was Friday night. A day earlier (or even two) would have been fine.

A tip I got that really worked out for me: Buy several big orange paint buckets from Home Depot – they’re cheap, and perfect for holding the flowers for the first day or two until they bloom. I just kept them indoors with A/C running, out of direct sun.

Checkout local wholesale flower nurseries. I believe that typically a business license is required to purchase flowers in bulk, but I’ve heard that they sometimes make exceptions. My friend ordered flowers from CostCo and they came out great!
