- Wedding: June 2012
So I read how Mrs. Airplane reused her mothers wedding dress as her rehersal dress. Now my personal seamstress abilities go no farther then occadsionally watching ‘something borrowed something new’. Till I read Mrs. airplanes blog the idea hadn’t occurred to me, but along with a comment from my mom this weekend about how neither of us (I have an older sister) even cared to look at her dresses I thought I might entertain idea if only momentarily. My mother has two dresses the most recent to my step father is a size 2 maybe (I’m a 16) and was a short fitted dress, so I don’t think much can be done to make it my size. My second thought is her dress from her first marriage (my dad) bc while it would still be WAY to small maybe we could do something with the fabric? Do you guys think it’s even worth looking into? Would it cost a small fortune?
