We were discussing using I Can't Help Falling in Love With You by UB40. We ultimately decided against it because we chose a song that suited us much more. My fiance is a huge fan of reggae after being raised in California so I know he'd still be up for it. You might want to do a reggae version of a classic, if not, I dont' see why you shouldn't do a reggae song for the 1st song if it means a lot to both of you.
I didn't use a reggae song, but I do love reggae music! Maybe "One Love" by Bob Marley? Or..."Love I" by The Green?
Actually I just listened to "Love I" and the lyrics don't work unless you cut out the first part..lol. But it's a great song! Kind of more island-like.
