I loved our experience registering with Macy’s.  I love that you can peek at who bought what with the registry manager tool.  AND if you decide to return a gift or two and get store credit… you can buy some fab shoes instead of another kitchen or household appliance.

I registered at both, I liked the barware and other kitchen items at Crate & Barrel better, but I also preferred registering for towels, sheets, luggage, and other random things from Macy’s.  They were both great registries, Crate & Barrel has a better completion program (6 months).  They both sell furniture which is nice because you’ll inevitably end up with gift cards and store credit, so we used our Macy’s credit to buy a patio set.  I’ve still got Crate & Barrel credit I need to do something with, maybe some wall art.

I’m in Canada, so I can’t speak to Macy’s, but I can say that my Crate and Barrel registry up here was nothing short of awesome. I am SO happy with everything and with their customer service throughout the registry process. They went above and beyond for us a couple of times 🙂

    We did both.

Thea features and ease of managing the registry are about the same but what I did not like about the Macy’s one was that it is not very clear online when a gift has been purchased. It still allows you to purchase the same item. Due to this design flaw, we received the same gift twice. Crate and Barrel does a better job at this.

It really depends on your style and what products you like the best. We registered for most of our gifts at C&B because we liked that better than what was available at Macys. However, we received alot of Macy’s gifts too. It seems our older guests liked that one better.

We are doing both, too.  I love Crate & Barrel’s products but they can be pricey.  Macy’s allows for less expensive options, plus they have coupons coming out every other day for your guests to use.

Also, a really nice feature of Macy’s is their rewards program (you must have a Macy’s credit card).  After the wedding, they give you a gift card loaded with a percentage of the total amount guests spent on your gifts.

We registered at Crate and Barrel. We had a great time, got a free vase, made a free wedding website, and it is easy to mess with online. I really dislike Macy’s-everything there was more expensive than C&B and the Macy’s around here are so gross and cluttered. I didn’t want our guests to have to go there.

I think registering for both would be fine, even if you’re only registering for a few things. People like having options and Macy’s frequently puts their items on sale.

We’re registering at both. I like Crate and Barrel designs but Macy’s has a lot of quality household items that I know will last a long time.

We did C&B, Macy’s and a honeymoon registry and we got gifts from all 3. I think people enjoyed having options.

We did Crate & Barrel and a honeymoon registry. I love C&B so it was an easy decision for us. While I do love Macys, I just didn’t want to register there.

Macy’s!  We just got our registries reward gift card for $400!!!!  And I didn’t think we had a very big registry either!  So now we can use that to go buy whatever we want!

We did one at C&B.  One of the pitchers cracked when it was shipped as well as a glass.

I took it to a store, and they exchanged it for me no problem.
