I have 3 registries because some guests only live close to 1 or the other and I am super picky. I had great difficulty finding things to put on any of the registries.
2 of the stores I registered at (Macys, Bed Bath and Beyond) have the exact same items available. Should I double post items on both? Or just pick one store, per item to prevent doubles?
The only reason I was thinking about putting some items on both registries was that, each store runs different promotions each week and I want my guests to be able to take advantage of them, if possible. The sales associate suggested double posting, she said guests could call and have it marked as complete even if they bought it somewhere else. She also said it gives guests more options.

@SparkleBee11: Like the sales associate said they can call and have it marked complete even if purchased at another store. Only register for it once and people will buy it whre they find the best deal. If you register for it twice you may end up with duplicates if people only look at the registry nearest them and do not notify both stores it was bought.

@SparkleBee11: I would only register at one unless I wanted two. It’s unlikely that the stores will seemlessly work together on this. It would be the extrodinary guest who checks to see if the item has been purchased at another store and assumes you only want one.
The sales associate just wants to increase the number of things on your registry since that is how her performance is judged.

For certain items I did put on both registries (Nespresso machine, Kitchenaid attachments), but for the most part I picked totally different things from each store.

You can actually integrate your Macy’s and BB&B into one big BB&B registry, if you’re interested!

I would not do that! People will look at both. We went to a wedding recently and the couple had a waffle making on all 3 of their registries, and they got them all! It was so silly.
