FI and I registered at Bed Bath & Beyond today, and after 3 1/2 hours, MAN we are tired!  Who would have thought picking out things we want other people to buy us would be so exhausting!

Wow, that's a long day!  We didn't have a lot of guests so I did most of my registering at home.

lol we registered at Target, and we were there 4 hours one afternoon, and a couple hours another day! Plus we've had to tweak it online over the last several months! It is very tiring!

I dread registering. We went a few months ago to pick stuff out, but not register. My mom went along, and it took so. Freaking. Long. I was dead.

Wow! On a Saturday?! Before Thanksgiving?! You have guts girl!  I hate Saturday shopping anyway so that's pretty admirable if you ask me. I plan to drag FI up there on a weeknight after work. I can't wait to get the scanner in my hand!

That's a long time! I always feel like the stacked up high stuff in BB&B is going to tip over and fall on my head - that's how overwhelmed that place makes me. Are you registering anywhere else, too?

We went when the store opened, so the store wasn't too crowded until we were almost done anyway.  But still, SO TIRING.  We are registering at one more store, and I think that'll be it for us.

I like the convenience of doing it online, but I really wanted to actually see the products to make sure they were what we wanted.

If you're registering at BB&B, definitely make an appointment with one of their associates to walk you around and help with your registry.  Ours was SO helpful, giving her advice based on years of experience.  She really made it so much easier.  We would have been clueless otherwise.

Ughhh I remember the dreaded registry trip. Seriously, we were so tired and hungry that we just stopped after an hour and a half! We trekked down two storefronts to the Atlanta Bread Company and thought we'd go back after that... haha. The rest of it we finished online. I commend you for your 3.5 hours!

My fiance and I endured Macy's a couple of weeks ago. I think we were there for maybe 3-4 hours on a Saturday, but it felt like an *eternity*! It's seriously equivalent to an endurance event. I somewhat also want to register at Crate & Barrel, but have been putting it off because I just don't want to deal with the exhaustion! (Or the road-trip to the DC-area that in-person registering will entail...)

Honestly, I had no idea registering would be so tiring.  We were BEAT afterwards.  We had intentions to do all our registries in one day, but it was just too much!

Oh, endurance event is totally right.  I had NO idea it would be so terribly long and tiring.  I mean, I expected it to take time, but I was so tired I sat down on the floor in the store at one point.  :-\  My friend says that registering is like her dream---you create a giant wish list and then people buy you gifts---but it is a LOT of work!

I'm putting off the Macy's registry for a couple months.  :-P

side note: YES!!!!  I'm pumped Clemson is going to the ACC Championship!!!!  I SO want to go to Tampa, but we already have plans that week!

It's funny you say that, registering was the one thing to which I was looking forward possibly most of all... and it kind of sucked in person! Online while I'm waiting in between classes... it's great.

And YES! I can't decide if i'm going to Tampa. :)

We just did our third (and final!) registry yesterday. You are so right - it is exhausting! Spending your own money on things for your home is one thing, but picking out things for other people to buy for you is (oddly) much more difficult. I wanted to be sure that every registry selection was something we would use and treasure for years! The best part is being able to edit it online when you have second thoughts, though...

I'm exciting about registering but I'm kind of nervous!! For some reason I think it's going to be very stressful! I know FI is excited about it though - he's been talking about it since before we even got engaged, haha

When we did our BB&B registry it took us 2 1/2 hours, but when we went to turn in the scanner nothing appeared on our registry! They told us that our scanner had malfunctioned. Yeah, I wanted to cry.

The only thing worse than spending multiple hours registering at a store is having to do it all over again, trying to remember what you registered for the first time!
