I did and people have been happy to help us experience our dream honeymoon! But graned IDK if anyone would tell me if they didn't like it. The majority of our family are really laid back and are cool with it, but if your families are crazy-traditional it might not go over as well. I think it depends on the couple.

I don't think so either.  I actually just signed us up on honeymoonwishes.com.  We don't really need too much for our apartment and I thought this would be a great way for us to truly experience a once in a life time honeymoon.

we need nothing for our place there is a few things we would like but its a far off wish list... I have wondered about this idea... i guess i guests would actually contribute to something like this.

Also how do you annonce you are registered for a honeymoon, or seeking help with one?

We are using travelersjoy.com and put it on our website with a short explanation of why.  So far everyone except a few of our friends' snooty moms have been really cool with it.

I certainly don't think so. We used traveler's joy and people really seemed to like it, so much so that we got our 10 day European honeymoon completely paid for. Unlike some other companies out there Traveler's Joy does charge a percentage, but they have a really nice, user friendly website. Our guests told us they loved to go and see the pictures that we had on there of us along with all the little icons for the things we wanted to do. When we got back we mailed pictures of us on our honeymoon along with the thank you notes so people could see us with their gift.

@futuremrsharless: We made a wedding website which included our registry info and listed the website on our save the dates. Also, our parents and bridal party helped to spread our registry info by word of mouth.
