Okay so I just had my shower and I got a ton of stuff. Yippie! However I ended up getting quiet a few dups on items. I even noticed that the hand mixer I registered for was purchased but then somehow another one made it on there just in a different color. I got the other color at my shower but I’m not sure how it even ended up on there? I’m wondering if any brides out there have deleted items of their registry as they get purchased to avoid the chance in getting duplicates? I figure I still have guests that will bring gifts to the wedding reception and to perhaps prevent any futher double gifting I’m considering removing all gifts that have been purchased. Really whats the point in having them up there anyway?

Hmmm. Yes, I wouldn’t be afraid to adjust your registry. Also, can you return the dupkicates your a refund or credit? Sometimes too, guests don’t properly know how to use the registries. That see what you want, and pick someting from it, but don’t bother to mention it’s from a registry so it can be marked off.

I wouldn’t remove the items from your registry. If something breaks and you want to return it, you might have trouble if it’s gone from the registry. Also- depending on where you register, you get bonuses guest purchases (ie Macy’s), so if you remove them, you might not get the reward.
I would just leave purchased gifts on there (unless it’s a mistake like the wrong color mixer) and return any duplicates for credit or a cash refund.
