Okay, so we're registered at BB&B, Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn. If you had registries at any of these places (or even others... I'm open to suggestion), what was the absolute best thing you got/registered for? I'm talking like--you were impressed from the first second out of the box, it was that cool!

I just like to see the interesting things people like. I would be so happy with a HUGE pasta bowl and a mandoline slicer! But I know we don't have enough on our registries, so I need a few more interesting suggestions!

giant punch bowl from crate & barrel. it will get used exactly 1x per year but i cant wait.

this is weird but im also excited about the meat grinding attachment for the kitchenaid mixer. just in case i ever want to grind my own meat. just in case.

word of advice: dont get the mandoline. if you are getting a cuisinart, it has a much better slicing/shredding tool and you dont run the risk of slicing off the ends of your fingers! trust me - i live in the kitchen and HATE my mandoline. i have never once made those waffle chips that i actually got it for and i was SO excited when i picked it up. total let down.

hopefully the meatgrinder wont be the same, but i have a feeling it will find a home next to the mandoline and popover pan in the "small kitchen appliances i never ever ever use" drawer.

definitely register for a microplane zester - so much fun! lemons, chocolate, parmesan. love that one!

I second the microplane grater. I love mine and use it all the time! I got the medium blade so it is very versatile.

Thanks for the mandoline advice! We are registered for a cuisinart i think... haha. And my fiance insisted on china... but I'm okay with that, too.

I actually already have a microplane! I totally agree, it is AWESOME! I would also suggest it to anyone else out there who does not have one!

Do you have a Food Saver?  That thing is awesome.  Especially now that it stands up so it isnt taking up a ton of counter space.

I'm looking forward to the Kitchenaid Mixer! I have been using a cheap hand mixer for years and it just doesn't cut it.

I have to admit, we're in love with our china from BBB. We registered for everyday dishes at Crate and Barrel (Maison line - which is AWESOME, by the way!), but our china is really something we love. We registered for a mix of different Kate Spade patterns (Junebug, Corona and Pebble Point) to have eclectic table settings. When we opened our first one out of the box, we just ooed and ahhed and didn't want to put them away :) Even the hubby was excited. We originally weren't going to register for china, but my mom talked us into it, and we're really glad we did.

My Kate Spade china is making me the happiest so far. FMIL got us ALL 8 place settings and soup bowls for our engagement gift. Eeeeeeeeeee! So pretty. I registered for the Gardiner Street (green). L-O-V-E it.

We didn't register, but what we ended up getting with some gift cards was a pasta maker from BBB, which is super fun, though a bit time consuming, but we love cooking together.

We also got the Kitchenaid mixer as a gift, I was slightly skeptical at first on if we'd use it enough, but it's gotten a lot of use.  The only thing I wish is that extra attachments were cheapers for it.

Knives.  I didn't know how much we needed them until we got some really good ones.  Our old ones were horrible.
