Edit: OMG they all do that! Now everything is ruined and I couldn't be happier! haha
Haha - Pottery Barn does this too. My shower's supposed to be a secret & I want to be surprised but I'm sure I'll figure it out when everything starts dissapearing from the registries at the same time - you know everyone waits until the last minute. Hah!
I stalk my registry now that my shower is approaching so its a good thing I'm not registered with Macy's. I would totally cheat. I pretend that I'm monitoring the registry to make sure there are no discontinued items, and if there are I want to replace them with something else, but really.. I just wanna know what I'm getting. I do like the idea of being surprised by who got it though.
Ahhh! I had to look right away.
I can see things that people are buying that aren't even on my registry. And my FSIL's actually got me a really nice gift!

@roxy: I TOTALLY know what you mean! There were a few gifts on there from people who I totally thought wouldn't get a gift or not a 'nice' one, and totally threw me for a loop.
I know! They do ask you if you're sure you want the spoilers (obv I said yes!). We've still got 6 mo til our wedding but already 2 gifts have been purchased, woohoo!
@SoontobeMrs.V- It seems like the people with a lot of money who I would think would get a really nice gift are getting gifts for under $15 and then some people who you would never expect are spending $100+
I stalk my registry already...and with two showers fast approaching it will only get worse...and one of my two places is Macys....uh oh!
I had no idea about this but my sister told me over the weekend and I couldn't help but look. We only had 1 item off our registery so far and now I know who it is from. I wish they wouldn't let you peek until after your event!!!

I really don't want to check my registries, but I'll feel like I need to to make sure nothing is discontinued and that there is always enough stuff on it!

I couldn't find this feature on the bb&b sight. I hadn't seen it on Macy's! Glad I didn't find it before the shower! I figure it is okay to look now cause I am hoping gifts will be sent here, not taken to wedding...most guest wont be around to see us opening the gifts anyway!
Have you bees seen the thank you manager on Target? Or is it called something else?
I'm sooo glad that I found this- we got gift in the mail from Macy's with no card as to who purchased it...now I know! yaya! I won't be looking any more though- I like surprises!!

So, I was floored when I found this function. Perhaps I am way late to this game, but this is crazy! I can't decide yet if it is a good thing or a bad thing...
Under "Registry Manager" on your Macy's registry, you can choose the option "Thank You Card Manager". This shows you what date the items were purchased on AND who bought them. I don't know how I stumbled across this. So now... instead of just stalking and ruining the surprise of the ITEM but still not knowing who got it for you, you can totally spoil everything and know WHO got it for you before you even get it.
I can, however, see how this function could be useful post shower/wedding, though. It includes 'check marks' for you to check as you write thank you notes to keep track.
