(Closed) Registry incentives, but what if nothing gets bought?

@littletree:  I would direct this to the store, but I’m guessing it wouldn’t matter either way since they gave it to you, they can’t ask for it back. You ARE getting married so its not like you’re trying to swindle them

You may be surprised – I did the exact same thing; a BB&B registry with a Honeymoon Registry.  So far, NOTHING has been purchased off the Honeymoon registry, while about 50% has been bought from the BB&B registry.  I’ve been told guests will buy from the Honeymoon Registry for our actual Wedding, while the BB&B registry is being purchased off of for the Shower.

Those little gifts cost them so little that I’m sure they barely care.  If you have a legit registry set up there, they won’t take them back, otherwise the requirements would state something like “free gift after X dollars spend on registry” rather than saying it’s for setting it up.

@littletree:  the store we regiesterd at has various, if we put at least $25 items we got a $25 gift card, and then we got coupons and such, those are ours to keep even if nothing is bought.
