So I was panicking a little bit earlier about how we’re six weeks away and I feel like everything’s in a state of chaos and we only have, like, one quarter of our RSVPs turned in. And then I logged in to Target to take care of an item notifcation and saw that someone has purchased our pots and pans.
Pots and pans! I haven’t had a new set in, like, at least ten years!!! I’m so excited!
I know it’s silly, but seeing that someone has purchased a wedding gift for us totally made my frazzled evening. Maybe registry stalking is the new therapy. 😉
How about you ladies? Are you registry stalking? Did you all receive any fun shower gifts, if you’ve had yours already?

haha… When I read your post I had to laugh because I have been doing the same thing! I am so happy I am not the only person who stalks our reistry! I am starting to freak out because we are about 6 weeks away and we only have about a quarter of our RSVP cards as well and there just seems like there is so much to do.
We are also date twins! I am so exited about my lucky friday the 13th wedding lol!

At seven weeks and counting, we have approximately one third of our RSVPs returned, so please don’t panic. Other MOBs tell me that there will be an avalanche of them arriving the week of the deadline, but that we will still have to track down about ten percent of the invited guests for an answer. My daughter gets very excited when the day’s mail brings packages; I am more excited these days by the RSVPs!

@12-13-13Bride: Date twin! I’m super excited for our Friday the 13th wedding too. 🙂
@TexasAggieMom: My mom said the same thing, but our RSVP deadline is Sunday and we got…two…this week. So either fifty need to show up on Tuesday or our data package is going to take a nice hit next week with all the calls we need to make.
…or we will only have thirty people there. If that’s the case then I’m TOTALLY upgrading the honeymoon suite. 😉

@Sugar_and_Spice: Isn’t it frustrating? We currently have 96 of 232 invitees rsvp’d as attending, and about 10 or 12 who declined. We have NO responses from the groomsmen, who probably think “Duh, I’m in the wedding; they know I’m coming!” What I don’t know is the names of their dates/significant others/flavors of the week and we allowed all members of the wedding party a plus one. I’m trying to look on the bright side – fewer dinners for me to buy, right? Good luck with yours – you’re almost to the one-month mark!

We have like 15 RSVP cards back, out of around 100. But that is okay, they have some time. We also have had some registry movement. New bedding stuff. YAY!

I just posted about my registry lol – no movement but we’re having a DW.

I ‘accidently’ stalked my shower registry & started crying when someone purchased the pots & pans for us, almost $400. So i did what any grown womanwould do, started crying, & closed the page down.
This wedding is not getting to me at all….

High five to all my registry stalkers! 😉
My aunt sent me a FB message that their gift was on the way, but Target’s online site didn’t give her the chance to include a gift note. So she’s all “oh, just log in to your registry and double-check whatever you haven’t received from your shower. I’m sure what’s left will be ours.” Well, that’s a roundabout way to tell me you got our knife set. 😉 At least it’s expected that I’m stalking our lists.
New knives! I can finally cut things again! 😉
Holy smiley overuse, batman.
@Nic01: At my shower, a friend gifted us with a beautiful collage picture frame…and then I realized it was filled with pics from my grandparents’ wedding, my parents’ wedding, and our engagement photos. So like any grown woman with three glasses of wine in her, I bawled. Full on ugly cry, mascara running down my face.
In the boat with ya, sister. 😉

@Sugar_and_Spice: one thing i’ve learnt – water proof mascara!! otherwise…rookie error! lol
