So we are in the process of registry which is fun yet overwhelming!
What are some of the “must haves” that a lot of people forget? One of the thigns we did not put down but I think we should is luggage.

BurlapnLace: While I had a lot of stuff in my place already, I was definitely due for some upgrades and replacements.
- toaster oven
- clothing iron
- frying pans
- coffee maker
I did not register for fine china because I will never use it.

BurlapnLace: Luggage is a must!!! I also agree with californiabride2013. We replaced a lot of the stuff we already had with nicer things. I would also add to her list sheets and silverware.
We registered at Bed Bath & Beyond. After our wedding they did a registry closeout and we were able to return/exchange things, and also received 20% off everything we bought. I still have a $25 gift card left over!

BurlapnLace: I cook a lot, and even though we already live together, our stuff is tired and worn out. We registered for the following:
nice classic white dishes (so that they can be both casual and dressy!) – I don’t think I’ll ever use fine china, like the poster above
variety of serving trays and bowls, both white and colorful (I stuck to a red theme)
nonstick pots, pans, and skillets
really nice chef’s knife, and two paring knives

burlapnlace: Le Creuset cast iron dutch oven, sheets, blender, food processor, silverware, glassware, crystal, table linens… potato masher?

Good knives, food processor, blender, juicer, kcup/nespresso coffee machines – those were the best gifts we received and I’m so glad we registered for them. I would definitely put down luggage if you plan on travelling a lot, or to just register for a nice carry-on.

We have a lot of our “own” stuff, but registered for things that would now be “ours”. Some of our must haves, included:
- bed sheets
- crock pot
- food processor
- different pots/pans (or a set)
- serving plates/utensils for entertaining
- all new kitchen utensils
- kitchen storage items (for flour, sugar, etc)

pillows. i regret not registering for really good quality bed pillows.

Commenting to follow. The one thing I really want is a clothing steamer!

Get some good sheets! We received 3 sets of beautiful sheets which is perfect because you should have at least 3 sets of sheets on rotation for your main bed if you want them to last. Washing a set of sheets every single week can really wear them down.
We bought a new bed right after the wedding so it’s so nice to have all new bedding with it!

Kitchen Aid stand mixer!!! 🙂 I’m so excited to finally use mine! I cheated and saw it was bought on our Macys registry..barware, nice wedding photo frames for your pretty wedding pictures 🙂 Neatfreak has awesome organizational items which I love and are useful, toaster oven, waffle maker, carpet shampooer , nice vacuum if you need to upgrade because you will ALWAYS use that. Maybe an upgraded pots & pans set and glass food storage sets ? Good luck! 🙂

Oh yes… I forgot – we put pillows on our list too. Those memory foam ones. We are hoping those get picked up by someone!!
Also, the KitchenAid mixer has always been #1 on my list, and I’m pretty sure my parents bought that a long time ago from a sale and I’ll get that from them. Eitehr way, I still registered for it just in case.
