If you'll use it, definitely! FI and I have been saying it'd be great for tailgating or adding another table for holiday parties. Also, if you register for it, the store may give you a discount if no one ends up buying it. It's obviously something you would get use out of!
My grandmother had a folding card table that always came in handy. We used it to play games on, to fit extra people at holiday dinners, and for crafting. I'm sure that once you have it, it'll come in very handy!
I'd just ask: if someone gets you that instead of something else, like a set of dishes or towels, would you be just as happy? If so, go for it -- if not, let it be and hope to get other gifts.
I would add it if it's something you know you'd use. If you don't register for it, will you need it at some point & then be bummed and think Oh we should've added it?.
I feel like your registry it the one time you get to "put it all out there", as in these are things you would love to have and can't just run out and buy whenever you want to.

I got one from my uncle this winter (it was practically brand new and he was moving into an assisted living home), and we've already used it several times. I'm definitely glad we have it.
If you believe you will use it, definitely register for it. My FI and I had registered for a set because we have a needed one a few times. I was lucky enough to borrow my parents but they live 1.5 hrs so I can't just get it anytime I need it.

So here's a pretty easy question: would you register for a folding table and chairs? They seem to come in handy...once or twice a year... It's just no one seems to have one we can borrow when we do need it!
