Hello ladies - I'm working on our wedding registry but there are a couple of concerns:

    1) What are some good places to register.  Not too expensive, but still nice?

2.) Do we HAVE to register for things?  We've both been living on our own since we were 18 years (25 and 26 now) and we when put it together, we realized we're acquired A LOT of CRAP!Sealed  Honestly, what we want/need is money for the honeymoon - is that horrible of me?! I just don't want to ask for money straight out, but we're busting at the seams and don't need anything else! Oh, except FI wants to register for a XBox360 *rolls eyes* haha.

Also, I'm putting our website (which contains our registry info) on the invites so they'll "bump" into it.

    Any advice?!

We're kinda in the same boat.. we cook all the time so have really everything we want/need!

We are going to register at Target and Amazon.com, not sure where else yet.

Our big thing will be HoneyFund.com, a free honeymoon registry!! I've heard rave reviews about it. Haven't signed up yet though.

We're headed to Maine and want to eat some amazing seafood while we're there :)

And hehe about your FI... mine was rambling on about big tv's and such for the registry last week! Oh, men.....

Also in a somewhat similar boat. One thing I am looking forward to registering for are  serving platters and appetizer trays-think Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel since we haven't done a lot of entertaining at our apartment until now.

Also nice wine glasses, a set for red and one for white.

While your guests might not love to hear that you exchanged their gifts for cash, I think department stores like Macy's (definitely double check this) allow you to return things from your registry that you receive and they give you credit on a Macys card. What used to be the case (and maybe still is) is that you can request the balance of your card in cash...

    Who doesnt like cash?
