I have a question about China.  We will be registering next weekend so I am trying to narrow down the places I want to go to.  I want to  go to Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Dillards, and a local jewlrey store which sales china, crystal, etc.  My problem is, should I just pick one store to register for china since its not likely all three places would have the same brand/designs.  Or should I pick out different sets at each place?

I feel like I need to weed out a few places.  I for sure want BB&B and Dillards but those are both a 45 minute drive from the town I live in.  My grandmother says I need to register at the local jewlrey store for people who don't want to drive and at walmart since my FI is a manager there.  Add that to my pampered chef registry, I just feel like that is way to much, however I want to be diverse for all my guests.  What would you do?

wow - that does seem like a lot of places!

If you want China - then register for it at one location.  People will understand if that is the only thing registered at that location - you want THOSE plates!

I'd suggest choosing your favorite china and then just registering for it at one particular store. But feel free to register for other things at other stores, too. :)

For my china, I registered at BB&B.  They had an awesome selection and they offer free gift wrapping on online registry orders and a lot of their items have free shipping.

If I were you, I would just go ahead and do a Walmart registry.  It seems like a good way to make it convienient for your guests and get some practical items too!

I would definitely cut the number of places down, although I guess options are good. I've never heard of a registry at a jewelry store... I've always thought of wedding gifts as more for the couple to use (like pampered chef or BBB or other places).

I don't have an answer but I just wanted to point out that 3 is not a lot depending on how many people you have invited. 2 is normal for any size, and 3 is good if you have a large amount of guests.
