Yes, but only because I can't help myself. The surprise would be so much better if I waited. : (6 votes)

Hi, my name is Soon2beMrsC and I am a registry stalker.  I can't help it.  I'm a compulsive checker of email, Weddingbee, Craiglist, etc.  I always knew I would be a registry stalker, it's in my nature.

But, last night I just saw someone bought us the super cool, very exciting, highly anticipated Margaritaville margarita maker.  I can't wait for it to show up!

Now the only problem is, do I tell me FI?  Or do I wait until he sees it in person?  I don't know who bought it or when it will arrive.

What do you ladies usually do?

Haven't experienced the gifts arriving yet, but I think I would leave it as a surprise for him so he can get just as excited as you did when you saw it online.  It's probably tough though, it's not always easy to keep those exciting details to yourself.

I will also be a registry stalker. I mean, I stalked my friends registries. What makes me think I won't stalk my own? (Okay, so I can see maybe stopping a little bit before showers so there is some element of suprise on my face other than, "Oh, you bought the blue vase."

I would totally tell. Its not like he doesn't know its on the registry right?

Yep I'm a stalker to.  Some of my items got bought as Christmas presents from my family.  So I told him I can't wait til Christmas because someone got us blah blah.  He just laughed.  But I know that come closer to the wedding it will be a surprise because I can't possibly check it as often in between doing wedding and work stuff.  So I'm not too worried.

I've actually been stalking my cousins wedding registry to see what type of things people are buying them or not buying them.

Hah! FI is sooooo much worse than I am. We started a Potterybarn one when we got engaged & people bought a few things but once our engagement was old news it slowed down. He still checks it everyday. We only made our BB&B registry on Monday but he's checked it a zillion times. No one even knows it exists yet!! LOL

i tell him! he's never as excited as i am, so i don't think it's a big deal. i mean really, most the stuff is kitchen items, so when i say, "yay, we got the pink pie plate!" his face just doesn't light up like mine. and i also don't see the difference if he know that we get it now or later.

I like it when FI is surprised so I probably wouldn't tell him. Although, I can see that in the sea of gifts arriving it might be fun for him to anticipate something really cool like that :)

I did before Christmas because I was so shocked when I checked it to see that items had been purchased and he was in the room when I gasped. From now on, I probably won't tell him. I'm trying to stalk in less as well, I would like to be suprised for my showers. I have been checking it once in a while to make sure nothing has been discontinued, like our towels.

I saw a few items get bought off of our target registry and I was so excited so I told FI.  Turns out that weekend, my MOH threw us a surprise engagment party!
