You are not alone! I was a serial registry stalker leading up to my first shower, and I’m sure I will be leading up to the second one, although in hoping the fast approach of the wedding will help distract me! Just make sure you act surprised lol

Kafrine:  I checked all the stores we registered at at least twice a day, and when something was bought I’d text DH lol. It drove him nuts, but I was so excited. It’s not like you know who will be giving you what, so I think you’ll be surprised. Also, DH and I got a ton of items that we didn’t register for.

I have a feeling I will be the same way…my wedding isn’t unitl September and we just made our registeries about a week ago and I check them now just to make changes and see what I registered for…I also saw one of our items was in low stock and I really wanted it so I called and bought it yesterday, eeks!  I am going to try really hard to not stalk it once my shower invites go out.

Kafrine:  I get excited every time something drops off the list! I only had a small shower that involved mostly friends and wedding party, so no really big things were bought for those. Part of me wishes that one of my aunts had decided to throw a shower for my parents’ generation, but they didn’t, and I can’t blame them. We’ll get wedding presents, anyways.

That just sounds so gift-grabby, reading what I wrote.

I will admit that I love getting presents. Big ones, small ones, ones that cost a lot, ones that cost nothing. I love receiving gifts. I also love giving gifts, so I’ve always made sure that I go to everyone’s showers and that I send a gift if I am unable to attend. I’ve thrown showers for friends, as well. I don’t think that people have to reciprocate, but I will admit to having that hope, every once in a while.

Kafrine:  I’m stalking away! 29 purchased so far and my shower is April 12. CANNOT WAIT. Some of the things we put on there were for the registry completion discount ($500 Dyson) and they got bought. I can’t believe it and now I’m obsessed with checking!!

Kafrine:  I am definitely stalking mine!

My shower is in 17 days. 11 items have been purchased so far. The one thing I really want- the set of pots and pans- hasn’t been purchased yet. I reeeeeally hope someone gets them for us!

FI wanted a meat grinder, so we put that on the list, and it was the first thing purchased haha!

I stalked mine. We were moving into our new house so I kept changing it because I needed/wanted different things for the new house. Then the invites went out and things started to come off and I couldn’t help but keep checking!!! The shower was almost 2 weeks ago and there are still a few things purchased that I haven’t received yet, I know of at least two people that have gifts for me that I have not received yet so I’m curious to know what they are! It’s silly, but whatever, it’s fun.

MichiganGirl24:  The thing I wanted most was the new vacuum and no one bought it, but I got enough gift cards to buy it for myself!! I hope you get your pots and pans!

I never checked mine. I’m actually really glad I didn’t. Apparently my maids told me people to buy things for ME. Only 3 people purchased on my registry, the rest were random gifts. Mostly victoria secrets gifts cards, bridal robe, michael kors bag, etc.

Kafrine:  We invited 40 but so far only 12 have accepted, with 6 declines. I’m hoping for 20 people, as I think that’s a nice number of ladies. My MIL is an incredibly generous gift-giver so I’m thinking she was either the Dyson or the Kitchen Aide mixer. I felt bad but excited when I saw it was purchsed since we really only put it on there for the discount. I’m secretly hoping it was a group gift so it wasn’t so much!
