I can't help it. I've started stalking it more often now that the day is rapidly approaching. In fact, I'm going to check it when I'm done with this comment. But man, I wish I could stop! None of my gifts are going to be a surprise.
I did up till the week before then i stopped. Most of the gifts a baught the last week anyways but its fun to see people get stuff right away, like they are as excited as you are. then i stopped for the "YAY" factor. I'm glad i did it the way i did. =-)
I did and I'm glad I am because I went to C&B and saw what one of our gifts looked like in person (I had picked it out online) and it was SO Much different than I thought it would be. SO when it arrived at our door I knew what to expect. Also, we registered for some luggage and I need to keep an eye on whether or not we got it because we need suitcases for our honeymoon. If I see that a week before they havent been bought we plan to buy our own.
I accidently started stalking before our shower. I thought it was too early for anyone to buy us anything, went on to add some things, and saw purchased items. I was suuuuuuper excited when I saw stuff get bought online, but to be honest - at the shower it was a total let down, because I knew 90% of the gifts before I opened them. And it was really hard to fake being excited about stuff that I had already 'felt' like was 'mine' for a few weeks.
I'm trying to stop snooping now, knowing that the wedding is coming up and stuff will get bought soon. I really need to take the bookmark off so it's not so easy!
I did before my shower, and I'm so happy I did!! I was nervous about the whole opening-gifts-in-front-of-people, and being tongue tied. Peaking at the gifts let me prepare - it was great!! I came up with reasons I had always wanted X, or why my FI was dying for Y; things I never would have come up with on the spot:-).
I know I cheated, but it made me feel like I did a much better job at my bridal shower than I would have otherwise!
I am already so irritated the Macy's is cancelling things right and left that I feel like I will have to keep checking it! And if I accidentally stalk...whoops!
how could you NOT stalk your registry? if there's a list of things you want and you can go look to see if you get them, how could you stop yourself from looking? if you can, you're a better person than i am (and my fiance - he checks it more than i do!)
I am planning on it. Cannot... resist... temptation! Although somebody already sent us gifts to my mom's house and she opened it. I think she is going to open them when she gets them. Fine by me!
Since we got notifications that some things were unavailable now I had to go onto ours to see what it was and if I could register for something different.
My fiance was totally excited to learn that we could look at it and see what people had bought - he made me show him it and was asking about how we would know when something was purchased. It was cute.
I have been stalking but probably as the shower gets closer I am going to stop. This way there will be some surprises.

We registered months ago but I checked today and saw that our first gifts had been bought. Rather than make me excited, I felt kind of guilty.
