- Wedding: July 2013
My fiance and I live in Florida and are traveling to our home town in NY for our wedding.
We want to make sure people know that we will be going back to Florida right after the wedding (maybe flying, probably driving) so we won’t have too much room for gifts.
We have a website that shows our registries, but I am thinking that we should give suggestions or a list of things to keep in mind like: ‘The couple lives in a small apartment’ or some suggestion of a gift that may not be on a store registry, like gift certicicates for airlines. All without sounding rude.
What can I write as an introduction to my registry that sates some things to keep in mind when looking for a gift?
We don’t want to say that a gift ins’t needed. That phrase always sounded a little rude. but I know that there isn’t really a way to tip toe around this… and I may end up offending someone.
I have read a lot of entries that say that any introduction on a website registry listing isn’t needed, but non of them address my situation.
Any helpful suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
