Are the rehearsal location and the dinner location very far apart? I think it could work, but the logistics might be tricky.
I've been to a rehearsal dinner before the rehearsal itself. The wedding was dry anyway, so no one worried about drinking and driving. It was fine, and if that's the only time your rehearsal space can accommodate you then I say go for it.

My Rehearsal is not until 7pm and I am not sure about you ladies but the last thing I want to do is START eating and drinking after 8pm the night before my wedding. That is not how I will look my best at 6am the next morning. lol SO I planned the Dinner before the rehearsal.
Is this a horrible idea?
I want to say that not everyone invited to the rehearsal dinner is allowed to come to the actual wedding rehearsal. The priest said only the people in the wedding. so I would only have to count on 4 people from our wedding to not drink. I don't think they will have a problem with it at all. I just wanted to get your opinions.
