I’m thinking of getting this dress for the rehearsal dinner but the front has pleating that I’m not 100% sold on. Also on the model it looked pretty short but on me I didn’t notice it. I haven’t bought it yet so honest opinions are very welcome. You ladies are certainly more fashionable than I am, I’d wear yoga pants if I could get away with it.
On the model (obviously):

Wow that’s really short on the model!
It still seems bit short on you [for my tastes], but if you feel comfortable in it, that’s all that matters.
I think it’s really cute, actually.

im not crazy about it… doesnt look like it fits you… like it is wayy to big in the bust

Agree with the posters above – it is too short, too casual, and looks like it’s gaping in front and will be giving everyone a show.

I agree that it looks a little short on you.

Personally, I woudn’t want to wear it in front of my Grandma and my Pastor.
But I think it looks GORGEOUS on you! It all depends if you’re okay with showing that amount of skin!

The pleating in the bodice is odd, it doesn’t look good on the model. It just looks like it doesn’t fit either of you, too much pleating and too short.

For the cost of that dress, you should have a dress that you love. The pleating on the skirt would make any woman look like she had a pot belly, and the odd pleating on the bodice just doesn’t work either on you or the model.
Are you looking for a dress in a similar color?

I don’t think the pleating in the bodice is flattering. To me it makes both you and the model look saggy… not the best of looks for your rehearsal!

Yeah, I don’t know if i love this dress on you – I agree that it seems like the pleating is off. But i love the color!

That one looks cute, but why not step it up a notch? It seems more like a casual party dress style to me, but at a rehearsal dinner, you have an excuse to dress to impress 🙂 I would think a tad longer, a nice texture, and a nice necklace to set it off. If you like the style of the dress in your pic, what about these similar ones? (both from J. Crew–they have lots of different style/color choices too)

Thanks for the advice ladies, you guys are awesome. I will keep looking.

I love this dress on you, but not for the rehearsal dinner. Keep it and wear it to a summer party or on your honeymoon or for dinner. It’s a great dress on you. But for the R dinner, I’d find something a little more low-key, in a similar shade.

the second j crew dress is really cute
