but my mother talked me out of it......secretly I want to still and I might ;)
wow... i didn't know there was a tradition behind rehearsal dress. i thought the rule was just wear something cute! So, what is the tradition? Something white?
I definitely like the idea of wearing a fun white dress to the rehearsal dinner - a great excuse to get into "bride mode" a little early! I haven't found anything good yet, so I'd love to see others' ideas!

I am so obsessed with the dresses on ModCloth! I forget which bee posted a blog entry about this site... their dresses are SO cute and affordable! I've been drooling over a few rehearsal dinner and shower dresses on here for awhile....
@blueshoes - I ADORE Modcloth. I stalk their website almost daily...I'm just too poor to order anything right now. But I am absolutely determined that something for a wedding-related event will come from there!!!
@Amanda.lynn: same here!! I'm also having a harder time picking dresses from that website than I did picking my wedding gown... I keep fearing they will introduce dresses I love even more after I make a purchase! XD
I wore that dress for my rehearsal dinner and it was WONDERFUL! Don't let your mom talk you out of it. The dress is so fabulous that random girls across the street were cat-calling me! It felt like I was floating on air.

Stiginkgo: That's a beautiful dress!! I think you should do the BCBG dress, I want that one too, but I spent a lot on my WD that I can't spend much on a rehearsal dress!
I'm wearing the BCBG Applique dress for our RD. There's a thread about it. It's SO cute!

Here's mine! This is both my civil ceremony and rehearsal dress as in France you must be civilly married before you can be married in a church we are having our civil ceremony the day before the religious ceremony...Anyway, both the dress and shoes (which are fushia, it's hard to see) are Yves Saint Laurent, I found them for a steal at a private sale and was super excited!!! I'm thinking I will take the skirt up a little bit so it is above the knee...

I have been totally wanting that bcbg/nordstrom dress too!! Man I love it sooo much but it is really pricey! @snmcdowell got any pics of you in it to show us??
