I like a variety, regardless of what people serve. As long as you have seating for everyone – rather than just stand around and pick at it, it should work. I don’t eat meat though, or sweets, so I would probably bring along some fresh fruit and a yogurt, just in case. And I’m assuming you are having non-alcoholic beverages?

P.S. I’d add a fruit tray, to go with the veggie tray. If you have a meat and cheese tray, I assume with rolls, do you need sandwiches, too?

I’d add some sides. Could be anything – potato saladdeviled eggs, min egg rolls, something.

 

ETA: more options: swedish meatballs on a toothpick, stuffed mushrooms etc.

 

Yeah, you might have people using a fork, but it would still be casual.
