ashleyk1220:  I haven’t been to a rehearsal dinner at any of those places but haved dined at them.

Safehouse:  Pretty kitschy…spy themed…food is ok.  You are going more for the cool decor than anything else

Ale House:  Casual but good.  They brew their own beer if that;s your thing.

Swing:  Fancier and smaller than both above places.  Food is really good, this would be a more intimate setting if you have a smaller group.

I can’t comment on the cheese mart because I haven’t been there before.

ashleyk1220:  Right next to Swig there’s a new place- it used to be Palms, I can’t remember what is called now, but they have a really nice private room upstairs.

what time of year is the wedding? I went to a rehearsal dinner once at Molly Cools, and they had the entire back covered patio, right on the river. it was super nice, but it probably wouldnt work out very well in the colder months, because I don’t think its insulated.

Ours was at the upper level of trocadero. I don’t think they rent out that level any more, but they have a couple other rooms that would work well too, I would definitely look into it. the food is really great, and they are easy to work with.

Swig is great, the reps are very great to work with. Ask for Erin.

Also Sake Tumi on milwaukee street is a great place, nice atmosphere in their upstairs lounge. Great food too and Sunshee the owner is so helpful. I’m planning our High school reunion there.

The motor restaurant at the Harley Musuem has a lot of space and an outdoor patio. But a little more pricey. But great food!

The Best place at the Pabst Brewery has a cool rustic vibe and great pricing. They have like four different spaces to choose from.

A friend of mine had a graduation party at Paddy’s Pub near Farwell & North, so we looked into it and ended up booking them for our rehearsal — beautiful, large upstairs space with an affordable rental fee, private bartender, Irish beer, etc. We just had to book our own caterer to provide the dinner.
