Ok – I’ve never received an invite for a rehearsal dinner, I’ve always just been told be here at this time on this day.
But I can’t pass up an opportunity to do a cute invitation for something.
I’m trying to find the best wording so people know they HAVE to be there, without a required RSVP.

Are you having a formal dinner or a little more laid back affair? I’m not sure how you would word an invite for a rehearsal dinner telling people they must be there since most people know if they are important family or in the wedding party they really have to be there anyway. I would still want an RSVP but I guess you could just leave it off? Then again, you might need to know how many you are feeding at the restaurant, or wherever, depending on what you are doing.
A gal on here suggested this to me:
Before Jane and John say “I do”
We’ll need to practice a thing or two.
On Friday, June 18th at 11 o’clock on the dot,
Please meet at the place where they will soon tie the knot.
After the practice, when all’s said and done,
Please join us at Romono’s for dinner and fun!
Wedding rehearsal to be held at 11am,

Rehearsal Dinner to follow at 6pm

cute! thanks! I’ve been debating whether to send them in the invitations to those certain people and their SOs, or to hand deliver them closer to the rehearsal date. We know how many people it will be because it’s just our bridal party, their boyfriends/girlfriends/wives/husbands and our parents.

I decided that I’m not doing rehearsal dinner invites since our rehearsal dinner is informal (outdoor cook-out at Fiance home). I’m at the point in my wedding planning “career” where I’m into SIMPLIFYING! It is totally up to you what you want to do! If you have a cute idea for the invitations, I would go ahead and send them! You don’t want to regret NOT sending invitations down the road! Best wishes to you and your future husband!

My rehearsal dinner is a laid back barbeque at my parents house, so my wording is informal but here it is:
“It’s time for a dress rehearsal of the couple’s ‘I Do’s’
with the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and flower girl too.
Be our guest for dinner when the rehearsal is through!”
