My wedding ceremony (therefore rehearsal) will be in Newton, so we were looking for a restaurant that would allow small parties (15-25) for a rehearsal dinner (any style of cuisine). My budget will be around $20-30 per person (if possible!) and easy parking. I am not too familiar with the area, but do you guys know of any?
We are looking into Newton, Brookline, Brighton, Arlington, Waltham…

I haven’t been to too many places in Newton, I heard Lumiere is great though. In Belmont, Il Casale is really cool in an old firehouse and a parking lot is across the street.
I’ve seen Budda C in Brookline do this with a large table in the middle and the atmosphere is very contemporary, entrees could be between $8-25.
What type of food and atmophere are you looking for?

Could you go to Wellesley? We had our rehearsal dinner at Papa Razzi and it was really great. We had a private room with a great menu with multiple options for food and we had an open bar and it was pretty reasonably priced (I don’t know exact prices because my in laws paid). Ours was at the Concord location but they have private dining at the Wellesley location as well.

@sweetiejewels we don’t have a particular food-type, anything american/italian/french, anything, we are probably looking into a semi-formal dinner, maybe with a more quiet atmosphere vs too casual, if you know what I mean….
I’ll check all those places out. Any other suggestions by other Bees?

Is there a Fire and Ice out that way? I know there’s one in Harvard Square but I can’t remember where the other one is.

Check out La Casa de Pedro in Watertown, plenty of parking right on site and like 5 min from Newton. It’s very fun, nice atmosphere and that number of people would be no problem. Very reasonable too!

I’m from Waltham and my sister had hers at Marcellino’s in Waltham. It was DELISH! They were a dream to work with, too. Definitely check it out 🙂

I agree with Moose1209 about Papa Razzi. We are having ours at Papa in Burlington just because the one in Wellesley was booked for our date. If you look there, inquire early. We went in November for our July wedding and the date was taken!
Other places: Fiorella’s and Union Street Grill.

51 Lincoln in Newton Highlands has a private dining room downstairs–I can’t remember what their prices look like though. My brother is the bar manager there, so I might be a bit biased.
