What kind of atmosphere are you going for? Laid back, semi-formal, etc...I know some friends of mine just had their's at a local Pizzaria, others have rented out rooms at one of the McMenamin's in town (I like this idea for a NW vibe). Have you looked at the Kennedy School?
We're having ours in our back yard, and having it catered by a few local restaurants that we love. Last summer, my brother had his at Mother's downtown. It was great, I'd highly recommend it. Other ideas: Meriweather's (has a fabulous patio), Bay 13, Elephant's in NW, and Paragon.
We did a lot of research into this and ultimately decided that we wanted something very casual so we chose a rehearsal bbq at the River House in Hillsboro. We liked it because you can bbq and there is outside space and inside space in case it is rainy. It is a city property at a park and our wedding venue is also a city property, so we were able to hang on the same insurance and contract for both events.
Our second choice was for a pizza party but we never found a place that we liked that could hold 75 people that wasn't crazy expensive.
What area are you looking to hold the event in?
we had ours in corbett, rented the old school community building and brought in our own pizza. pm me if you are interested!
we are getting pizza for after the rehearsal at our home. (at home wedding) my brother and his wife and 6 kids will be staying with us and helping with decor and set up before and after the rehearsal. we dont want a big deal party. its just not customary, usually the rehearsal dinner is just everyone who needed to rehearse go out to eat together and usually the bride/groom/parents thank everyone for being part of the wedding.
For 60 people I would recommend the Montage in SE. Its a very fun, funky vibe and i love their food. They are open until like 3am so if your looking for something fun and Portland, I would try there.

I am having problems finding a place to have a rehearsal dinner for ~60 people. Any suggestions? Parks, Restaurants... where are you having your rehearsal dinner?
