@buttercookie: I dont know if you can get $20 a head (depends on what you get I guess) but Catherines is the best restaurant in Goshen, we've done plenty of parties there for around that amount of people.
@buttercookie: no problem, let me know if you need anything else- I'm from Goshen :)
@arenyth: Hi, thanks again for the recommendation -- Catherine's looks great but, because we're having the dinner on a Friday night, it looks like it's going to be out of our price range.
If you can think of any other restaurant locations, please let me know!
You might be able to do it at Cozimos, which is a oven baked pizza plus other stuff kinda place. It looks really nice inside so don't let "pizza" fool you.
Cosimos Brick Oven Of Wallkill Inc (845) 692-3242 620 Route 211 E
Middletown, NY 10941
We also like Limoncellos at the Orange Inn in Goshen:
159 Main St # 1, Goshen, NY 10924
Phone:845-294-1880
Unfortunately other than those places all I know are the diners and the usual places like Olive Garden. Orange County can be hard on the budget but I'm sure there's got to be something!
@buttercookie - that's about our budget for our RD as well. we want to do soemthing uber casual as our budget is pretty limited. so we're renting out an orange co. park space (the "interpretive center" in plum point park right on the hudson river in New Windsor) and either getting a caterer or doing a potluck kinda thing. there are several parks in orange co., and they have several indoor spaces (accomodating anywhere from 48-96 people) that range from like $200-$1000 rent for however long you want - and less if you, or the person requesting the permit, are an orange county resident. the other good thing is that many of these places already have tables, chairs, and full kitchens which will cut a lot of rentals costs from the caterer. check out their website: http://www.orangecountynyparks.com/
another option is the harness racing museum in goshen, which has a $500-ish evening rental fee, and i believe they also have tables, chairs, kitchen space, etc.
i had contact a couple of caterers for the wedding, and am now following up to get RD quotes, so i can definitely let you know what they come back to me with. right now, fresh company is my favorite b/c their menus sound fantastic and they seem very reasonably priced.

Anyone have any suggestions for around $20 a head for a rehearsal dinner near Middletown or Goshen? Will need to accommodate approx. 30-40 people.
Thanks!
