Rehearsal Dinner Red Dress?

    So, I'm looking for some advice on wearing a red dress/cheng sam (spelling?) for the rehearsal dinner. I'm marrying non-chinese so don't want to change my dress on the day of the wedding but is it ok to wear one the night before for the rehearsal dinner?
