If it’s important to you to have the private room and you can afford it, you can always offer to pay for 40. You could ask them to package up the extra 15 dinners and donate them to a women’s shelter.

Explain it’s for a rehearsal dinner and a big family gathering with extended relatives who will be up walking around the dining room talking to each other, likely disturbing the other patrons and waitstaff, plus there will probably be speeches made that will interrupt everyone else’s meals.  Try to figure out every way to annoy patrons/staff and lay it on thick so they’ll give you the room still!
