Depending on the kind of vibe you are going for, check out some of the museums/galleries downtown. I know most of them have reasonably priced facility rentals. Are you looking right in the city? Consider renting a pavilion at one of the parks.
The museums aren't actually THAT cheap, but they are nice!
There is a really nice lodge in Brighton off Westfall road in a small, newish park. I was there recently and really impressed by the space. You could always rent that and then carry in catered Dino BBQ.
If you are willing to have it outside, consider Mendon Ponds Park. You can rent a pavilion and have it catered by Dino BBQ. An aquaintance of mine had his there and said it was great!
If you are willing to have it in Webster, there is a nice lodge called the White House (in Webster Park). It is actually a house not a lodge. I haven't seen the inside, but I know people have their wedding receptions there. I don't know how much you're looking to spend, but at what seem to be peak times I think it runs about $350 for the day. ANd of course with a place like that, you'd have to bring in catering. But if Webster is too far, I agree with gabbydancer, check out out parks and recreation sites. Some might have nice pavillions, that would surprise you.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a cheaper space I could rent for the rehearsal dinner in Rochester. We want to have Dino BBQ cater, but I really can't think of a place nearby that rents out just the space. Fire-halls are more than OK. Thanks!
