How about some place in Old Town? That is very close to Point Loma and you could probably come in under budget.
Have you thought about somewhere in the gaslamp? I know it's a bit touristy and parking can be difficult, but there are so many restaurants down there.
Old Venice is a super cute Italian restaurant in Pt. Loma. Miguel's and The Brigantine are also in Pt. Loma. I'm getting married in Pt. Loma too and am probably having my RD at La Pinata in Old Town. A friend of mine had hers at Zocolo in Old Town.
I'm pretty sure Phil's Ribs has a conference/banquet space and it's in Point Loma!

They were beyond helpful, very reasonably priced and all our guests love it. I'm not a huge fan of Chinese food (it's Mr F's favorite) and I really like China Camp.
Cafe Cyote in Old Town San Diego is deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelish!

I need help finding a location to hold a rehearsal dinner in San Diego. We are getting married in Point Loma so I was looking to have the dinner within about 10 miles of Point Loma so my guests don't have to drive too far. Ideally I would like to find some place with a private room and find someplace under $50 per person. If anyone can think of places cheaper than that all the better, but that’s our max limit for food. If we can spend less, we would love to. We are trying to figure out the exact head count for the rehearsal dinner but its probably going to be about 40-50 people.
