I did my engagement party in that area at the William Penn Inn.  They were absolutely wonderful!

We also had positive experiences at the William Penn Inn.

They’ve been in business for quite a while (my uncle had his rehearsal dinner there back in the late 1980s) and my family has used them in the past few years for various events and they’ve been really pleased.

They held an anniversary party in one of their larger "ballrooms" (they have 2) and the food and service was very good.  We also had a large dinner (20 people) in one of their smaller rooms a few years ago.

Of course the only restaurant in that area that I have been to is also the William Penn Inn 🙂  But I can also attest to great service and amazing food.  Mr. Cupcake’s old company used to have their holiday dinner there so I’ve been several times.  It does have a very distinctive colonial style, though — as long as you’re not looking for something super trendy or modern, it should be okay.
