So my coordinator just got back to me regarding what time I can do my rehearsel.  We are having our ceremony at a library, there will be a ceremony that afternoon and were told the earliest we can do our rehearsel was 7:30.

So the question is:  should I do our rehearsel dinner afterwards around 8ish or do a early dinner?  The pros of having the early lunch/dinner is that there will be no traffic getting to the resturant/ceremony location as opposed to the 7:30 time.  What do you guys think?

Reherse first and then have dinner so you don't have to rush dinner and everyone will be focused on the rehersal.

There is rush hour traffic at 8pm?  I think after is probably easier.

@ MissAsB No rush hour traffic to the dinner but to the ceremony location. :)

Well I would assume that those attending the rehearsal are in the wedding, in which case wouldn't many be taking the day off work? They can just leave with enough time to get there. If they are working that day, they can either take a half day or leave an hour early to make sure they arrive in time.

I voted for an early dinner. But I take that back if your wedding party likes to drink :)

People will plan ahead for rush hour. And, if the rehearsal is at 7, I would assume most people getting out of work at 5 would be able to make it. They wouldn't have to grab dinner or anything before hand, because dinner would be afterwards.

I know we don't have the same amount of traffic in Detroit as you do in Boston, but even still, I'm used to rush hour and will plan ahead for it.
